Salon CRM: Salon Management Software for Australia
Space-O Technologies is the development partner behind Salon CRM, a salon management software built for an Australia-based client. Salon owners previously ran appointments, payments, and client records offline, often on paper. Space-O Technologies built a cloud-based platform that brings bookings, EFTPOS payments, licensing, and reporting into one system. The stack runs on React.js, Node.js, MySQL, and Twilio. The dashboard helps salon owners increase productivity by 2x.

About Salon CRM
Salon CRM is a web-based, all-in-one platform that helps salon owners manage customers, products, bookings, and licenses. The software suits beauty salons, barber shops, and nail shops.
Before Salon CRM, appointment scheduling, client data, inventory, and payments were handled offline, largely on paper. Salon owners also hired accountants and managers to run daily operations. Growing from 10 customers to 100 was difficult without a central system.
Space-O Technologies built Salon CRM around three connected roles: admin, salon owner, and client. Admins manage licenses and earnings, owners run bookings and payments, and clients book through a mobile app. The owner dashboard helps salon owners increase productivity by 2x.
How We Built Salon CRM’s Salon Management Software
The client partnered with Space-O Technologies to replace paper-based salon operations with a secure, cloud-based platform.
Salon Product and Service Management
Requirement:
Salon owners needed one place to manage products and services and show exact charges at checkout.
Solution:
We built a catalog where owners add products and services in one place. Prices feed directly into the checkout page, so customers always see the exact charge.
Booking and Appointment Management
Requirement:
Appointment scheduling was handled offline, which made tracking client bookings difficult as the business grew.
Solution:
We built a booking system that shows every customer booking in the store. Owners can add or remove services a client signed up for and update prices in real time.
Secure EFTPOS Payment Integration
Requirement:
Managing multiple daily transactions was difficult, and payment security was a major concern for the business.
Solution:
We integrated EFTPOS to create a secure layer that protects payments and privacy. Admins also store each salon owner’s Tyro terminal ID and merchant ID during onboarding, which simplifies payment setup.
License-Based Salon Owner Management
Requirement:
Admins charge salon owners to use Salon CRM, so the client needed a way to onboard owners and manage licenses.
Solution:
We built an admin panel where each license carries start and end dates, a cost, and a generated license number. Admins add owners, share license numbers, and activate or deactivate profiles from one screen.
QR-Based Client Registration and Booking
Requirement:
Clients had to visit the salon or call repeatedly just to book an appointment.
Solution:
We built a client app where scanning the salon’s QR code opens a web form. Clients register with a name, mobile number, and date of birth, then pick from the services the owner created.
Reviews, Promotions, and Earnings Reporting
Requirement:
Salon owners needed ways to attract and retain clients, plus a clear view of earnings and spending.
Solution:
We built a promotions module for coupon codes and an SMS flow that invites clients to rate the salon out of five stars. High ratings prompt a Google review. Earning reports and payment history give owners one view of earnings and spending.

Core Features of the Salon CRM Platform
Salon CRM brings admins, salon owners, and clients together on one platform, each with tools built for their role. Here are the features that make salon management work.
Earning Report
Export earnings reports in CSV or PDF directly from the dashboard to understand the overall business of every salon owner.
Add New Salon Owner
Add a salon owner with name, email, and business logo, plus the Tyro terminal ID and merchant ID for easier payments.
Manage Salon Owners
View each owner’s name, license number, license dates, license cost, and profile status, then activate or deactivate profiles directly from the panel.
Create Salon Owner’s License
Select the start and end dates, add the license cost, and generate a license number to share with the salon owner.
Manage Licenses
View, add, delete, or search licenses by license number, since overall earnings depend directly on the license cost.
Manage Earnings
Check salon name, owner name, license number, license dates, and license cost, then filter reports by a specific date range.
Manage Salon Products and Services
Add products and services in one place, so exact charges appear in the system and on the checkout page.
Manage Bookings
Access every customer booking in the store, add or remove services clients signed up for, and update prices in real time.
Manage Reviews and Promotions
Create coupon codes and promotions through the POS, and collect client reviews to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Advanced Report Management
Check earnings reports and payment history to see how the business is performing and manage earnings and spending together.
Scan QR
Scan the salon’s QR code to open a web form, then register and book an appointment without calling or visiting the salon.
Register
Register with a name, mobile number, and date of birth, then choose from the services the salon owner has listed.
Service Details
Review the service name, cost, and total payable amount, modify the selection if needed, and receive a confirmation message.
Review Submission
Receive an SMS link after the service, rate the salon out of five stars, and high ratings trigger a Google review prompt.
