Marijuana: On-Demand Weed Delivery App
As the mobile app development partner behind this on-demand weed delivery solution, Space-O Technologies built a platform that has served over 2K customers and listed more than 500 medical marijuana dispensaries. The app lets Arizona patients order prescribed marijuana and receive it at their doorstep in a few taps. Built natively for iOS and Android across three connected applications, the platform handles compliance verification, real-time tracking, secure payments, and dispensary inventory from a single system. It demonstrates the regulatory rigor and operational control that licensed cannabis delivery requires.

About Marijuana: On-Demand Weed Delivery App
This marijuana delivery app lets residents of Arizona order medical cannabis from home instead of visiting a dispensary in person. Often described as Uber for marijuana delivery, the platform connects patients, licensed dispensaries, and delivery drivers through one ordering and fulfillment system.
Patients browse products including flowers, edibles, VAPs, and CBD, each listed with images, descriptions, weight, and quantity. Real-time tracking shows the driver’s location and estimated arrival, so a customer can collect the order directly if it is urgent. Multiple payment modes cover credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and e-wallets.
Compliance sits at the center of the build. Registration requires patients to attach an MMJ card and government ID before ordering. Face ID and Touch ID lock the app itself, adding a security layer that regulated cannabis products call for.
How We Built a Custom On-Demand Marijuana Delivery Platform
The client ran an offline medical marijuana business in the USA and saw that Arizona patients had no reliable way to order online. He found Space-O Technologies through our Uber for X page and shared his requirements. Our business team prepared a Work Breakdown Structure document that mapped the full project scope. Drawing on 40+ on-demand solutions delivered across other industries, our team designed and developed six core systems that power the platform.
Patient Ordering App With Compliance Registration
Requirement:
Cannabis cannot be sold to unverified buyers, so the ordering flow needed identity and prescription checks built in from the first screen.
Solution:
Our team built a registration process that collects account details, personal information, an MMJ card, and government ID proof before any order is possible. Patients then browse categorized listings, add products to a cart, select a delivery address and time slot, and check out. Verification happens once, so repeat ordering stays fast.
Biometric Application Security Layer
Requirement:
A phone showing a cannabis order history is sensitive. The client wanted protection at the app level, not just at the account level.
Solution:
Our development team integrated Face ID and Touch ID as an application lock. Customers secure the app itself and reopen it with face or fingerprint authentication. This keeps order history, prescription documents, and product listings private even when a device is unlocked and shared.
Delivery Driver Application
Requirement:
The client needed drivers to receive assignments, navigate to patients, and track earnings without manual dispatch coordination.
Solution:
Our team built a dedicated driver app supporting delivery request acceptance, turn-by-turn navigation, and a full delivery history log. Drivers view earnings breakdowns and receive real-time updates and alerts throughout each assignment. This gave the client accountability across the delivery network without adding dispatch staff.
Real-Time Order Tracking System
Requirement:
Patients waiting on a regulated product needed visibility into where their order was and when it would arrive.
Solution:
Our engineering team developed live location sharing with estimated arrival times updated at each delivery stage. Customers watch the driver approach on a map. When timing matters, the location data also lets a patient collect the order directly rather than wait.
Admin and Dispensary Management Panel
Requirement:
Managing hundreds of dispensaries, a growing product catalog, driver assignments, and commission structures created significant operational complexity.
Solution:
Our team built an admin panel covering dashboard statistics for active, pending, and cancelled deliveries alongside weekly, monthly, and quarterly earnings. Administrators onboard dispensaries with name, logo, and location, manage master product inventory by category and sub-category, and assign pending orders to specific drivers. Customer records surface MMJ card information, with search and account deactivation controls.
Payment, Commission, and Reporting Infrastructure
Requirement:
The platform earns from both dispensaries and delivery drivers, so the client needed flexible rate control and clean financial reporting.
Solution:
Our team integrated payment processing across credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and e-wallets. Administrators adjust pricing and commission rates for dispensaries and drivers at any time. Earnings reports run weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly, separate dispensary revenue from driver revenue, and export by email.
Core Features of Marijuana: A Weed Delivery App
Registration
The main feature that we have integrated into a weed delivery app for customers is a simple-to-follow registration process. While registering, customers need to enter account details, personal information, and attach necessary documents like an MMJ card and ID proof. Customers can follow a simple registration process to login into the account.
Face ID / Touch ID
We have integrated Face ID, or we can say Touch ID, in this cannabis delivery app. This feature is integrated as an application’s lock for security reasons, allowing customers to lock their app and open it with their face or Touch ID.
Product Listing
The product listing feature in this medical marijuana delivery app allows customers to view all the weed products and marijuana items like flowers, edibles, VAPS, CBD, and more. Customers can view products with images, name, description, weight, and quantity.
Make Order
Customers can make orders for any type of marijuana and weed products from the comfort of their homes. With just one click on the product, customers can add products to the cart and view details.
Easy Checkout Process
This on-demand weed delivery app has a simple yet easy checkout process, so customers just need to select/add a delivery address, choose a delivery time, make payments, and place an order.
Payment Gateway Integration
This Uber-like delivery service app for cannabis provides customers with safe and secure payment methods like credit/debit cards, net banking, and e-wallets. Users can make payments for marijuana or cannabis through any of the mentioned modes.
Real-Time Tracking
Customers can track their orders and know the estimated arrival time. In fact, it gives real-time location information to customers, making it easier for them to pick it up from the location if it is urgent.
Order History
Customers can keep track of their order history, whether delivered or canceled. They can check all the past orders with complete information like an invoice and product details. In fact, there is a reorder option available to place the same order again.
Push Notification
Real-time updates and notifications allow customers to stay updated about their orders, order confirmation, cancellation, and important alerts.
Accept Delivery Requests
Drivers receive incoming delivery assignments and accept them directly in the app, removing the manual dispatch coordination the client previously handled between dispensaries and the delivery network.
Turn-By-Turn Navigation
Once an assignment is accepted, the driver gets turn-by-turn navigation to the patient’s delivery address, so routing to an unfamiliar location never depends on a separate maps app.
Order Delivery History
Every completed and cancelled delivery is logged in a full history view, giving drivers and the admin a shared record of what was delivered, when, and to which address.
My Earnings
Drivers review an earnings breakdown per delivery and across periods, keeping payouts transparent without raising a separate reporting request with the admin.
Real-Time Updates And Alerts
Drivers receive real-time updates and alerts at each stage of an assignment, from new request through pickup at the dispensary to confirmed delivery at the patient’s door.
Dashboard Stats
This feature allows admins to check active deliveries, view pending deliveries, check cancelled orders, and other earning stats by weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
Manage All Customers
The admin of the business can manage all the customers with their complete details, including MMJ card information. From this system, the admin can view, search, and deactivate the account of any customer.
Manage All Dispensaries
If the admin wants to add any new dispensary, he can add it directly from the panel, including information like name, logo, and location. It also provides information on all ordered products from the dispensary.
Manage Product Inventory
The admin of the business can manage master product inventory by adding categories, sub-categories, adding product lists, editing product details, and more.
Manage Active & Pending Orders
Under this section, the admin can check all the active and pending orders along with their details, dispensary details, and the status of the order. In fact, the admin can assign any pending order to any particular driver.
View Earning Report
The admin can check weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly earning reports and export the earning report via email. The admin can differentiate dispensary-wise earnings and delivery driver earnings.
Manage Pricing & Commission
With just a few clicks, the admin can manage all the pricing and commission rates of delivery drivers and dispensaries. The admin can change the pricing and commission rate anytime as per convenience.
