This is one of a kind mobile EMR app that helps the doctors to maintain a log of their patients’ photos. In fact, it is a photo app with photo editing software as well. The app uses HIPAA compliant Cloud Server to conform to its medical app design and regulations.
With this app, doctors can save and manage Before/After photos of patients to keep a record of the case. But, it is not just a photography app or a photo editor app, it is a medical EMR app. Doctors can even set reminders for visits, manage cases, track patient history, diagnosis, and treatment, and carry out medical billing.
How The Client Got This Unique App Idea
Our client is a businessman who left his job to start his own business. He belongs to a family of doctors where his father and many of his aunts and uncles are doctors.
He took notice of the problems faced by them. Many of them being dermatologists and laser surgeons, they all faced problems of storing and managing the ‘Before-After’ pictures of patients. They spent a lot of time in managing the photos that they could have devoted to patient treatment.
This switched on a bulb in our client’s brain and he thought of an app for doctors that could help solve this problem of the doctor community. The doctors don’t just need a photo editing app, they need photo management software. This led to the development of CureCast.

Challenges We Faced
The client was just as detail-oriented as we are and this helped us to make a perfect app. One challenge we faced during the medical app development was while trying to upload large files on the server.
Our experienced iOS developers and Android developers solved this problem by first compressing the photographs to 100 kb or less using Zelory Compressor Library, without compromising the resolution, and then uploading it on the server.
